Sharon’s Story
A life long resident of the San Francisco Bay Area, Sharon has always had the entrepreneurial spirit. After being “employed” in the telecommunications industry for 11 years, in 1999 she studied for and received her California Real Estate license. Selling real estate was Sharon’s first attempt at being an independent contractor and running a home based business. She quickly learned the pros and cons, as well as many techniques for how to do it successfully.
After spending four years in real estate and hating the hours (she worked when everyone else didn’t have to), with her husband, Dale, they purchased a very successful pool company. Within four years they doubled the revenues of the business, but deep down Sharon felt she had simply bought themselves a job. She began looking for something where she would have flexible hours, could build a future that would allow for time and financial freedom, and really wanted to return to the life style a home based business offered.
On January 16, 2009, she found her current business structure, Within one year, Sharon was promoted to Senior Manager, earning income from home in a down economy. Now she’s working towards financial security & time freedom through the benefits of lifetime residual income.
This blog was created to introduce people to the concepts and strategies necessary for anyone working from home, or to introduce the idea to anyone who currently is thinking about earning income from home.

I never read this before – great story, Sharon!
Do you and your husband still run the pool company as well?

Yes, we do. I work there most weekday mornings and then do my Send Out Cards in the afternoon. I’m a serial entrepreneur!

That’s great, Sharon. Sounds kinda like me. I’m a massage therapist a few days a week, but then I also have the coffee biz and real estate investing with my wife. Keeps things interesting, that’s for sure!
